MCM Oct Expo & Halloween!

So, the other weekend was Expo! I hadn't been for a few years and this was the first time I decided to go for the whole three days (Despite living in South London I think next time I'll book a hotel because it was such a trek going back and forth each day). It was good fun! I didn't go in a set group or anything so a lot of the time I ended up wandering round by myself trying to find my friends... (; ̄д ̄)

Friday I went as Eren Jaeger with my 3DMG!

The 3DMG was a nightmare wow. Excuse my pale sickly annoyed expression, but it was a result of the 3D gear! Essentially it was impossible to walk around in and it got smacked into constantly by rude ass people. I don't think I'll be wearing it to a con again haha. (Also thanks to whoever took the photo, sorry for being so damn miserable!!)

Saturday I overslept and didn't cosplay. I ended up spending most of my day with KK (her cosplay was amazing omg), and we went out for food after with her super lovely friends too!

I also finally got to meet my senpais Emilia and Sarah, who I've been dying to meet for ages! ASshdsjfhsjghdf doesn't quite sum up my feels...

Then Sunday I was Eren again!

I actually managed to take some photos this time! Siqi was being all amazing as Levi, got to see Lizzie again too as well as seeing Jada again after such a long time! I also got to meet my amazing cosplay friend Emi for the first time, aaaahhh she was so cute as Armin and Annie on the Friday!

Saw Yamii too, and as always she was being a massive cutie patootie in her maid costume!

I didn't really get to look around the stalls that much, so I didn't really buy anything apart from a rilakkuma notebook for uni and this Ririchiyo figure.

But that's pretty much it for Expo. Thank you to everyone including those not mentioned above for making it such a great weekend! I met loads of lovely new people and I hope to see you all again soon~~
(I'll also be going to Kitacon next year and Expo so tell me if any of you are going too!)

On the 29th I went to the Halloween party held by the Japanese society at my uni. I went as a maid~

Can't say much, it wasn't a particularly eventful night. I was really happy with my costume/look for the night though. Best part was obviously getting McDonald's at 2am...

Then on the actual day of Halloween I intended to go to classes as Rilakkuma!

However one of my friends was really ill, so we had to look after her and get her sent off to the hospital instead. (゚´Д`゚)゚
Me and a few other friends/flatmates ended up getting pizza and watching Sinister and Ju On the rest of the night though, which was fun!

Anyways, that's it for now. Thanks for reading~

It's been a while (huge update)

Yeah I'm sorry.

A LOT of things have happened since June. I'd actually been pretty ill since Christmas, losing about 10kg and dropping to 38kg overall. After being to the doctors again and again for 6 months I was finally diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and since then I've been learning how to cope and get it under control. So I've had good reason not to blog basically haha!

On a lighter note, I got up to a fair amount of things this Summer, we had a few gyaru meets and such. I met some lovely new gals, honestly everyone in the UK gal comm is so lovely~ We need to think of some new things to do tbh, we always do the same old same old and I think it gets a bit boring, no? Oh and my bby Emi went off to Japan in August... I MISS YOU SO MUCH EMI!!! And Fin left for France/Japan too (we had an otaku sleepover just before she went which was lovely~) Anyway, here's a few pics from over the summer...

I can honestly say I'm blessed to know so many amazing people!

I also went to Hyper Japan in July and me, Emmie and Chriss ended up being interviewed for NHK World's Tokyo Fashion Express! The episode was broadcast in September, but I'm sure if you scour the web you'll be able to find it online.

Look, its us in the top picture haha! Tbh it was actually pretty embarrassing, they filmed us at such a bad angle too! Even to this day, Emmie refuses to watch the episode LOL!

I started uni this September. I'm taking Japanese studies. Although some of my modules are pretty boring... (゚´Д`゚)゚
I made my uni room pretty cute, so I'll share some pictures of that~

The 'no poster' rule obviously went flying out the window. (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜 Although my room at home is now really bare.

Any keen eyed Shingeki no Kyojin fan would've spotted the Shingeki posters all over my walls, and that brings me to the next thing I wanted to talk about. I recently got back into cosplay over the Summer after having a 4 year absence from it. I'm going to be at London MCM Expo later this month cosplaying as Eren Jaeger, so if you're there come say hi! I've done a few costests as well as messing about on omegle under the snk tags haha...

I'm actually pretty pleased with how it turned out. I feel pretty damn comfortable dressed as a guy too, which is surprising.

As well as being at MCM, I'll be at Kitacon next Spring and possibly a few other cons, so again if you see me, come say hi! I've got a few other cosplays up my sleeves in the near future, including Junko Enoshima from Danganronpa (doesn't she just scream gyaru?) and casual Karuta Roromiya from Inu x Boku SS (which coincidentally I currently typeset for, so go read it!).

That's pretty much it for now, thanks for reading~

Uniqso; Kimchi Viva Grey Lens review

Hi guys~ So as you know from my previous post I was kindly sponsored a pair of Kimchi Viva Grey, and at the end of last week they arrived! They only took a week to arrive which is pretty damn fast!

Package they came in, all safe and wrapped in bubble wrap.

Inside the package; Cotton bud thing, lens case and a cute little thank you box.

And heres the lenses in the box, all wrapped up snug in more bubble wrap!

Obligatory crazy cat lady poses.

I actually only ever tend to wear brown lenses because I feel that they suit me better//I have a hard time finding other coloured lenses that blend with my bluey/grey eyes. But these lenses blend really well with my natural eye colour which is perfect! You can browse Uniqsos Grey Circle lens range here.

Enlargement 5/5
The  enlarging effect is really big, but without making me look like an alien. Also despite their size I didn't have any issues putting them in or taking them out.

Colour/Design 5/5
The design of the lenses mean they blend really well with my natural eye colour, the colour of the lenses blends perfectly too!

Comfort 4/5
They aren't as comfortable as my Geo lenses, but I can wear them for hours without any discomfort which is a plus when I'm out and about and don't really want to be fiddling round with my lenses.

So yeah I'm really happy with these lenses and I'll definitely be wearing these out as much as I wear my brown lenses out. Uniqso were really friendly, kind and helpfull, so if you're thinking of purchasing a pair of lenses from them definitely do so!

Thanks for reading~
